G2 are the first finalists of ELEAGUE's Group B after demolishing Selfless on two maps (Cache 16-2, Train 16-8). Day three at ELEAGUE started out with Selfless in an uphill battle versus G2 in the first semi-final, which began on Cache. After the North American team got obliterated during their B rush in the pistol, the Richard "shox" Papillon-led squad got on a roll of comfortable rounds going in their favor. When the first opportunity offered itself and Selfless had three entries, Adil "ScreaM" Benrlitom turned it around with a clutch quad-kill in the 2v5 for 6-0. The next couple of rounds ended up in clutch situations as well, the first of which (a 1v1) was won by Cédric "RpK" Guipouy, while Skyler "Relyks" Weaver showed up for his team and got on top of a 1v2.
However, ScreaM was too hot to handle and ended the 13-2 half with a 23-5 kills-to-deaths ratio. G2 took the fastest route to victory and the Belgian got the remaining seven kills to get to the magical 30. The second map was Train, and we got another pistol highlight, that time around from RpK who picked up four kills and an assist with a dropped Tec-9. Selfless managed to win the third round with only P250's and Mitch "mitch" Semago's quad-kill including a 1v2 pushed his team to a 3-2 lead. That was soon lost as G2 went on a streak of four rounds, two of which were ecos, before their opponents lowered the deficit to only one. With Edouard "SmithZz" Dubourdeaux on form, the French-Belgian roster closed out the half at 10-5. Three rounds went back and forth at the start of the other half, but Selfless came out on top of the trades at 11-8. It wasn't quite enough to come back, RpK continued with great performances and helped his squad take the victory at 16-8. ELEAGUE Season 1Best of 3![]() ![]() ![]()
